Just got a preview copy of my new book Knitting A Kiss In Every Stitch and I am wild with excitement. It’s a book of original designs to knit for loved ones, friends or charities. The book will be available on November 3, 2009, and I hope you will like it. There is nothing more gratifying for a knitter than to knit for others. I am so happy to see how versatile and full of fun it is. If you’re in New York on December 3 I’m doing a book signing at Lion Brand Studios. Here’s a sneak preview of the cover. Knitting A Kiss In Every Stitch

In my last blog I told you about Mary Taylor out in Minneapolis, who, inspired by the movie Julie and Julia, is knitting all the pieces from my book Knitting On Top Of The World in just four years…well she’s started her own blog about it and has been getting hundreds of hits from knitters across the country with many of them signing up to do a knit-a-long on their favorite piece. She’s also doing a free give-away. Check it out…she’s crazy…crazy wonderful!

My Aunt Angie and Uncle Anthony (they’re great company) from Ohio, are coming to visit us for a week, and they’ll join us at the Mets game for Stitch and Pitch night, Set 21st. Last year over 400 knitters attended. Go Mets! (Unfortunately the Mets are not going anywhere this year so Go Yankees!)

I’m off again…for a fourth book signing gig at The Knitting And Stitching Show at the Alexandra Palace in London, Oct 8-11. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Thousands of knitters attend this great show, and their enthusiasm is unbridled. Then onto the chunnel to Paris for a week’s vacation, occasional yarn shop appearance, and Parisian-influenced creative inspiration for my work. I am already dreaming about the paté, duck confit, fromage and wine. I will have my personal wine and food advisor, Mr. E, along with me. When I get back I will tell you all about it.

Au Revoir,
Nicky
